Ansley Park is one of Atlanta’s most popular intown neighborhoods. It is located north of downtown Atlanta, south of Buckhead and right in the middle of midtown.

It was developed in 1904 by Edwin Ansley who along with some other Atlanta business men purchased a plot of land north of downtown Atlanta from longtime owner George Washington Collier. It was designed as the first automobile oriented community with wide winding streets and green parks and they designed the area to attract some of Atlanta’s wealthiest and most prestigious families.

Today the Ansley Park neighborhood is a wonderful neighborhood but truly right in the middle of the city. You can walk to the museum, symphony, numerous restaurants, luxurious hotels, bars, Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Piedmont Park. 

The houses in Ansley Park range from early 1900′s Greek revival architecture, 1920′s colonials and craftsman bungalows, large estates, unique contemporary houses and brand new construction. If  you want to live in the city but still have the nieghborhood “feel” then this is your oasis.
